Copying using the windows explorer works perfectly though, and I don't have to do anything special to get the PC to read Mac drives now, just plug and play.. You can format your external HD to by Mac compliant and install NTSF for Mac OS X on your MS systems. If you are moving a lot of files it doesn't even tell you which file caused the problem. Please type your message and try again. Formatting drives can be done in Disk Utility in Applications > Utilities. A life saver.
I don't have one, but want one! I move files between WinXP/7 and Mac all the time, and NTFS for Mac far better for writing to NTFS than the free NTFS-3G. Sometime the error occur because the permission settings do not allow the transfer of the file. There is different ways to store data, each of these have different limitations and can only be read by certain types of operating system.
