On Windows7 tscon returns

  • This "should" display a message that states the RDP session was disconnected.
  • Compare to Windows XP where I used to use "tscon.exe 0 /dest:console" So in short Windows XP command that works is tscon.exe 0 /dest:console Windows 7 command that works is runas
  • If this doesn't work, try changing the number zero (tscon.exe 0 /dest...) in step 2 to the number one, and if it doesn't work, keep incrementing it until your remote desktop
  • Login.
